Minneapolis, St. Paul Cancel School Amid 'Dangerously Cold' Temps
Wind chills are expected to fall to 40 degrees below zero overnight, according to the National Weather Service.

MINNEAPOLIS — Students in Minneapolis Public Schools and St. Paul Public Schools will not have classes on Tuesday, Jan. 21, due to "dangerously cold temperatures," the districts announced Monday.
MPS-sponsored programs will be canceled, except high school sports games, adult education classes, and the school board meeting, Minneapolis officials said. Minneapolis student-athletes will receive separate communications from their coaches.
In St. Paul, Discovery Club and Adult Basic Education will be closed. All other athletic events and after-school activities will be canceled, with exceptions made on a case-by-case basis, St. Paul officials said.
