MN Weather: Hail, Damaging Winds, Tornados 'Can't Be Ruled Out'
Two rounds of potentially severe storms are expected to hit the Twin Cities metro area and beyond Wednesday. Temperatures will approach 90.

MINNEAPOLIS — Two rounds of severe storms are expected on a hot Wednesday across central Minnesota.
Residents could see "large hail and damaging winds," the National Weather Service warned. "A tornado also can't be ruled out." Temperatures will approach the 90s.
The first storm will arrive late morning and last through the early afternoon. The second storm will arrive early evening.

Wednesday: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before noon. Some of the storms could be severe. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 88. South southwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Wednesday Night: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1am. Some of the storms could be severe. Partly cloudy, with a low around 65. Southwest wind 5 to 15 mph.
Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 82. Northwest wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
Thursday Night: Clear, with a low around 60. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph decreasing to 5 to 10 mph after midnight.
Friday: Sunny, with a high near 83. Calm wind becoming north around 5 mph in the afternoon.
Friday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers after 1am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 64. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph.
