MN Weather: Rain, Rain, And More Rain This Week

TWIN CITIES, MN — Much of this week will consist of mild temperatures, gloomy skies, and lots of rain. Wednesday will see a change for slushy snow, as well.

"Rain will continue to spread across the forecast area with the heaviest rain coming during the afternoon," the National Weather Service said.

"Some snow is possible along the western edge of the precipitation shield where minor slushy accumulation is possible. The rain will come to an end on Wednesday from west to east."

Tuesday: Rain. High near 45. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Tuesday Night: Rain. Low around 33. North wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Wednesday: Rain and snow likely before 1pm, then a chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 40. North wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Wednesday Night: A chance of rain and snow before midnight, then a slight chance of snow between midnight and 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 33. North wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 44. North wind around 10 mph.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 33. West wind around 5 mph.

Friday: A chance of rain and snow before 9am, then a chance of rain. Partly sunny, with a high near 44. Breezy, with a northwest wind 10 to 15 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
