UPDATED: Piccolo, Tilia, Or Bartmann?

What goes better with a lakeside pavilion in summer than gourmet snack food? 

In April of 2013, a new concession stand will open by South Minneapolis' Lake Nokomis, and Southwest Minneapolis' Kim Bartmann (, , etc. etc.), Steven Brown (), and Doug Flicker () are jockeying for the spot, according to MSPMag's Dara Moskowitz Grumdahl. Proposals were due to the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board about a month ago, and the board is slated to make its final decision at a public hearing on Aug. 5.

Grumdahl also posted a spreadsheet comparing the three proposals on her blog. By the looks of it, Flickr's proposal for "Sandcastle" sounds the most costly (he's offering to put $500,000 of his own money into rehabbing the place), but the most intriguing. What would a lakeside snack shack look like, coming from a chef who's perfecting the exquisite small plate?

UPDATE 7:53 a.m. 6/29/12: And here's the answer to that question: Doug Flicker just sent Patch a link to his and the others' proposed menus, which we've posted at right. 

Flicker's features a selection of interesting summer foods—the watermellon salad with pickled radishes, arugula, and chevre and the beef "Dog Flicker" with kimchee, cilantro, and fried egg look particularly good—while Brown's Frank-N-Stein's is a love song to hot dogs, gelato, and local beer. Bartmann's Paddle House proposal looks a little more substantial, with a wide variety of brunch and dinner offerings. All three menus include beer and wine offerings.
