Several Minneapolis Polling Places Have Moved Ahead Of Tuesday’s Election
Minneapolis officials urge residents to verify their polling location as early voting hits its second-highest total in city history.
MINNEAPOLIS, MN — City officials are reminding Minneapolis residents to verify their polling locations before heading out to vote Tuesday, as several sites have changed ahead of the Nov. 4 municipal election.
Due to building construction and other logistical needs, the Minneapolis Elections & Voter Services has relocated polling places in several wards and precincts.
Affected voters should confirm their new location at pollfinder.sos.mn.gov before casting their ballot.

The reminder comes as Minneapolis is already seeing strong early turnout. As of Monday morning, 23,163 voters, or about 9.2 percent of the city’s 252,980 registered voters, had already cast ballots since early voting began on Sept. 19.
This marks the second-highest early voting total for a municipal election in city history, trailing only the 2021 election, which included all city offices and several ballot questions that boosted participation.
Voters who have yet to cast their ballots can still drop off completed mail ballots at Minneapolis Elections & Voter Services, 980 E. Hennepin Ave., until 5 p.m. Monday. Mail ballots cannot be dropped off at polling places on Election Day.
As in the past, this year’s election uses ranked-choice voting, allowing voters to rank up to three candidates in each race. Election judges and posted instructions will be available at each polling place to help voters understand how to fill out their ballots correctly.
To preview their ballot or practice ranking candidates, residents can download a sample ballot customized to their ward and precinct at vote.minneapolismn.gov/voters/ballot.
