Software Company Replaces Jack's, To Neighbors' Dissatisfaction

About three months , some East Harriet residents are still smarting from the loss of . That's according to TC Daily Planet columnist Lu Lippold, who dropped by an open house at DevJam, the software company that took up residence in the old dining room portion of the coffee shop/high-class eatery/restaurant. 

“People come by every day looking for coffee,” Jennifer Rowdon, who works in logistics for DevJam, told the Planet. “Lots of people. We usually stop counting at ten.” 

And they aren't happy that despite having the look of a cafe, they can't get a cup of coffee at DevJam to save their lives.

But Lippold says the space seems to be breeding some cool things for the neighborhood, including potential backyard movies from Chef Shack, who rents out the old kitchen space. And, Lippold adds, DevJam sounds pretty cool, too, despite the lack of coffee.
