Vice President JD Vance Visiting Minneapolis After Annunciation Shooting

MINNEAPOLIS — Vice President JD Vance and Second Lady Usha Vance are visiting Minneapolis on Wednesday, Sept. 3, to pay respects to victims of the Annunciation Catholic Church and School shooting, according to a White House statement.

The Vice President and Second Lady will hold a series of private meetings with families of those "affected by the tragedy."

The White House said the purpose of the visit is to personally convey condolences on behalf of the administration. No public appearances or policy remarks were announced.

The visit comes one week after the shooting at Annunciation Catholic Church and School, which left two children dead and dozens wounded.

In the days since, vigils and support centers have provided spaces for families and neighbors to mourn and find help.
