• Former Twins pitcher, Tech and SCSU Hall of Famer Greg Thayer dies at 76 (wctrib.com) — A former Minnesota Twins pitcher and St. Cloud State Hall of Famer, Greg Thayer, is remembered in an obituary that notes his brother Jeff lives in Spring Lake Park. Thayer, a standout multi-sport athlete from St. Cloud Tech and SCSU, went on to a decade-long pro baseball career and later coached baseball in Sauk Rapids. Memorial services are set for Dec. 19 in Sauk Rapids.
