Election Day Forecast: Slight Chance of Rain in the Morning
What should you where to the polls on Election Day? Here's an Election Day forecast for the Stillwater area.

There are a whole lot of factors that play into the voting process on Election Day, and weather is one of them.
But overall the forecast for the Stillwater area calls for a nice fall day.
There is a 20-percent chance of rain before noon on Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service, which means you may want to bring a raincoat if you’re planning to hit the polls first thing in the morning.

The NWS forecast for Tuesday afternoon is cloudy skies—gradually becoming mostly sunny—with a high near 49 degrees. Election Day will be breezy—with a southwest wind at 10-20 mph becoming a west-by-northwest wind in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 28 mph.
Tuesday night’s forecast calls for partly cloudy skies with a low around 31 degrees and winds coming from the northwest at 8-13 mph.

With so much at stake at the polls, could the weather be a factor on Election Day?
A survey conducted by The Weather Channel states:
Bad weather seems to deter undecided voters more from going to the polls than Democrats or Republicans. According to the survey, bad weather deters 35% of undecided voters; 27 percent of Democrats; and 20 percent of Republicans.
The latest weather maps show relatively quiet weather across much of the U.S. on Election Day.

Voting Places have changed for two reasons:
1. Redistricting
2. Two polling places do not have air conditioning for the Primary Election in August, which was uncomfortable for voters and election judges.

Ward 4, Precinct 7 - Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 1616 Olive Street W
Ward 4, Precinct 8 - Rutherford Elementary School, 100 School House Circle
