Owner of Cedar Pet Clinic Named President of Minnesota Veterinary Medical Association

Dr. John Baillie is entering the third year of a four-year leadership cycle, having already served as vice-president and president-elect of the association.

Dr. John Baillie, owner and medical director of Cedar Pet Clinic Lake Elmo, has been selected as president of the Minnesota Veterinary Medical Association.

"I'm honored to take my turn as leader of an organization that serves veterinary medicine and includes so many skilled and caring colleagues,” Baillie stated in a news release. "My goals during my tenure are to increase membership in our organization, particularly for students and teachers, so that our profession can continue to serve and enhance the health of the pets and animals of the state of Minnesota, and to continue the good work our organization has done since its founding.”

The organization has about 2,000 members statewide and represents the veterinary profession in all its diversity: small and large animal practitioners, and veterinarians involved in research, teaching, equine practices, work with pharmaceutical companies, the state legislature, and is closely involved in training new generations of veterinarians.
