Stillwater DVS Exam Station Reopens After Long Pandemic Closure
The Stillwater exam station is once again scheduling appointments for knowledge and road-skills tests after a 21-month shutdown.
STILLWATER, MN — The Minnesota Department of Public Safety recently reopened its Driver and Vehicle Services exam station in Stillwater after shutting it down at the start of the coronavirus pandemic in March 2020.
The Stillwater exam station, 1520 W. Frontage Road, is once again scheduling appointments for knowledge and road-skills tests, according to the Minnesota DPS website.

The exam station is administering knowledge tests on Wednesdays and Class D skills tests on Thursdays. Appointments are required.
Officials shut down almost 80 locations last spring as the coronavirus pandemic caused staffing and safety issues that forced the DPS’ Driver and Vehicles division to consolidate.

Officials said 43 exam stations are set to be open by the end of December. The remaining 50 are due to reopen by the end of January.
