Stillwater Ready To Reap Rewards of Downtown Projects
A laundry-list of infrastructure efforts are nearing completion, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

Downtown Stillwater is turning a corner, with a series of infrastructure projects either well underway or coming to fruition, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reported:Â
"New public restrooms. New bike trail. New stage-amphitheater on the shores of the St. Croix River. New parking lots. New flood- prevention infrastructure."Â
The start of the St. Croix Crossing bridge project seemed like a spark, Stillwater Mayor Ken Harycki told the newspaper: "All of a sudden, everything took off."Â
With the latest good news—$1.25 million in state funding to purchase the Aiple property—Stillwater's waterfront will double, with "the longest section of shoreland under private ownership along the St. Croix River" protected,Â
Washington County Commissioner Gary Kriesel told the newspaper.Â
