Woodbury Teen Charged With Weapons Possession at Stillwater Area School
Blake Andrew Tomasko, 19, faces a maximum penalty of five years in jail and a $10,000 fine.

A 19-year-old Woodbury man was arrested for possessing brass knuckles at St. Croix Valley Alternative Learning Center after police responded to a report of a student who smelled like marijuana.
Blake Andrew Tomasko was charged by the Washington County Attorney's Office with one count of felony possession of a dangerous weapon on school property. His first court appearance is scheduled on Dec. 28.
According to a complaint filed Nov. 3 in Washington County District Court:

Oak Park Heights police were called to the St. Croix Valley Alternative Learning Center on the report of a student smelling of marijuana.
When confronted by the principal and police, Tomasko denied being in possession of drugs, the complaint states. But when he emptied his pockets, police allegedly found a set of brass knuckles.

Under Minnesota state law, possessing, manufacturing or transfering brass knuckles is a misdemeanor offense but, on school property, it becomes a felony.
Tomasko told authorities he knew he should not have the weapon, the complaint states. He also admitted to smoking marijuana earlier in the day.
Tomasko was not charged with a drug offense.
If convicted of the charge against him, Tomasko faces a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $10,000 fine. Â
