2 Arrested Over 'Interference With A Dead Body' In St. Louis Park

Officers responded to an apartment complex on a report of a woman's body, but they could not find it initially, according to authorities.

ST. LOUIS PARK, MN — Two people were arrested over interference with a dead body after a deceased woman was found in an apartment unit in St. Louis Park.

On Tuesday at about 2:45 p.m., police responded to the complex at 2700 Rhode Island Avenue South on a report of a deceased woman.

Officers checked the unit but did not find anyone deceased.

However, "after further investigation," police said they returned to the same building and found a woman's body in a different apartment unit.

Two acquaintances of the victim — a man and a woman — were arrested at the scene, authorities said.

The woman was arrested on suspicion of interference with a dead body. The man was arrested on both suspicion of burglary and interference with a dead body.

The "precise nature of the victim’s death" is still under investigation, but no known public threat is associated with the case, police said.
