Man Steals Car Off Lot, Nearly Hits Dealership Employee
The incident occurred at Jim Lupient Auto in St. Louis Park.

On May 25, an unidentified male reportedly stole a vehicle from a St. Louis Park dealership while shopping around the lot—almost hitting an employee in the process.
The man—reported to police to be in his mid-40s, about 160 pounds and 5-feet, 8-inches, and wearing sunglasses and a hat—was taking a look at a green Subaru Legacy with a employee nearby. While the man was sitting in the driver’s seat, he asked the employee if the plates on the car were new. When the employee leaned down to check, the man sped off, causing the employee to jump out of the way.

The car was entered into the police system as “stolen.” No other information is available at this time.

May 26 – Police responded to Zayo Enterprise Networks, 300 Highway 169, on the report of a $3,000 laptop being stolen overnight. No suspect(s) have been identified.
May 28 – A car was stolen from in front of a home in the 4800 block of 35th Street. The owner, a 36-year-old male, told police that he had the keys with him at the time. No suspect(s) have been identified.
