Board For St. Louis Park Schools Approves Fall Recommendations

"We will never be 'done' with our model design, as we believe in continuous improvement," said Superintendent Astein Osei.

ST. LOUIS PARK, MN — Last week, the board for St. Louis Park Pubic Schools unanimously approved several recommendations for this fall.

"We heard you! Your feedback and thoughtful consideration of all students in St. Louis Park Public Schools was carefully considered by all School Board members," wrote board chair Mary Tomback in a release.

Recommendations include:

  • All students will begin the school year in a distance learning format
  • E-2 students will start in a hybrid model on Sept. 28
  • Students in grades 3-12 will start in a hybrid model on Oct. 5
  • All elementary students will attend school using a "homeroom" model
  • Offer full-time distance learning if families want it

"We will continue our work to develop and improve our models to provide all students with safe and nurturing learning environments during the 2020-21 school year," stated Superintendent Astein Osei.
