In fact, the girls are the top-ranked 1A team in the whole state, while the boys aren't far behind at No. 2 among their 1A peers. However, the BSM squads will both be taking on teams that know how to pull an upset. On the boys side, third-seeded Waconia knocked off second-seeded Holy Family Academy in a semifinal shootout, while on the girls side No. 3 seed Holy Family Catholic upset No. 2 seed Orono in the semifinals, 3-1 The boys and girls state soccer tournaments are each scheduled to start on Oct. 26 at the Metrodome in Minneapolis.
