Chunk of Ice Flies off Semi, Injures Driver
A large ice chuck flew off of a semitrailer Monday morning and hit another vehicle's windshield, causing the driver minor injuries.
Snow and ice that formed this weekend are still causing problems throughout the state. On Monday morning, a large ice chuck flew off of a semitrailer on Interstate 694 near Highway 36.
The chunk of ice hit another vehicle's windshield and caused the driver minor injuries, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. The semi driver was not cited, but the trucking company will cover the repair costs.

Authorities remind motorists that it is your responsibility to clear your vehicle before hitting the road. If you see a vehicle or semi that is not cleared, increase your following distance and pay attention in case ice or snow flies off the vehicle.
