Fatal Crash Shuts Down Eastbound Highway 610 In Brooklyn Park

BROOKLYN PARK, MN — The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating a fatal single-car crash that happened on eastbound Highway 610 Friday morning.

Just before 5:30 a.m., a Volkswagen Jetta was traveling eastbound on Highway 610 at Highway 252 when it left the roadway and rolled into the right ditch, striking the bridge pillar, according to investigators.

The Jetta was traveling "at a high rate of speed at impact," the state patrol said. There were no signs of impairment, according to investigators.
