A canoe trip and an art festival highlight a busy two days.

There's something for everyone this weekend—a canoe trip on the Minnehaha Creek, an arts festival and a farmers market, among other great events. So get off the couch and get outside!

Where: 16501 Grays Bay Blvd, Wayzata, (Headwaters Park); meet at the Minnetonka Ice Arena parking lot (14600 Minnetonka Blvd.), and you will be transported to Headwaters Park.

Why go: Enjoy what should be a nice day on the water.

Price: 4.5-mile trip: $40 per canoe, $20 second canoe; 8-mile trip: $70 per canoe, $40 second canoe

Why Go: Children can test their skills with games and parents can enter to win a family trip to a dude ranch. Media personalities Steve Marsh (Minneapolis-St. Paul Magazine), Dave Schwartz (sports reporter, Kare 11) and Wally the Beer Man will also be competing in the Stockman & Dakota Celebrity Grilling Showdown.

Where: Meet at corner of 46th Street and 28th Avenue in Minneapolis

Why go: The goal at the fifth-annual Minnehaha Creek Clean-up is to collect 4,000 pounds of trash, which is double the amount that was hauled away during last year’s event. There is a free bagel breakfast for the first 250 volunteers and prizes for children and adults. RSVP is required.

2011 Hopkins Arts Festival

When: Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Why go: This is part of the 77th Annual Raspberry Festival. See the work of numerous artists, enjoy excellent food and other activities that will be all along the historic Main Street.
