Have Your Voice Heard at Upcoming Candidate Forums

Election day in St. Louis Park is Nov. 8.

With the City Council and school board elections less than a month away, there are a number of ways to get involved and pose questions to the candidates.

On Thursday, grassroots group Safety in the Park, along with St. Louis Park Patch, is hosting a for council candidates.

On Oct. 20, the local chapter of the League of Women Voters is hosting a . On Oct. 26, the LWV is hosting a second forum for . Both forums are sponsored by St. Louis Park Patch.

With each of the three forums, you can submit questions for the candidates ahead of time. Simply email michael.rose@patch.com. Please include your name with your email. Deadlines for submissions are Oct. 12 for the rail forum, Oct. 14 for the LWV council forum and Oct. 21 for the LWV school board forum. Due to time constraints and the possibility that your question might be asked by someone else, we can't guarantee that your submission will be used.

If you don't email any questions in advance but still want to be heard, you're welcome to submit a question in-person at any of the three forums.

Lastly, we're happy to announce a unique event that will allow St. Louis Park residents a chance to meet a number of candidates in a casual setting. On Oct. 25, St. Louis Park Patch is hosting a candidate meet-and-greet at . Attendees will be able to rotate between candidates, having quick, candid chats with each. The event will run from 4-6 p.m. Check back with us soon for more specifics on this event, but definitely mark your calendar now.
