Laney Named Superintendent of St. Anthony-New Brighton Schools

Bob Laney has been with the St. Louis Park School District since 1986.

Bob Laney, the assistant superintendent of St. Louis Park Public Schools, has been named superintendent for the St. Anthony-New Brighton School District, pending contract negotiations.  
  
Laney began his career with St. Louis Park schools in 1986 as an administrative intern. He then went on to serve as assistant principal at from 1987-1993, before leaving the school district for three years. He rejoined the district in 1996 as the senior high school principal and held that position until 2007, when he was promoted to his current position as assistant superintendent.  
 
Laney will begin his tenure with St. Anthony-New Brighton schools on July 1. Plans for how the district will fill his position are forthcoming.
