Minnesota Connections Academy Recognizes St. Louis Park Student

Student of the Month Award recognizes achievements in and out of the virtual classroom

ST. PAUL, MN Leoš Meachum, of St. Louis Park, was recently named one of Minnesota Connections Academy’s (MNCA) Students of the Month in recognition of his achievements and leadership in the virtual classroom.

Leoš, a kindergartener at the public online school, was nominated by his teacher, Mrs. Gehrman, because of his hard work and his wonderful attitude towards learning. As a Student of the Month, Leoš will receive a certificate of achievement and be profiled in the Minnesota Connections Academy student newsletter and the school’s social media platforms.

“Our students of the month demonstrate leadership and an extraordinary commitment to learning while serving as strong role models for their peers,” said Brad Swanson, School Leader at Minnesota Connections Academy. “The members of our faculty and staff are proud to give these virtual classroom leaders the recognition they deserve.”

According to his father, Grant, they chose to have Leos start his academic career in at Minnesota Connections Academy due to the high-quality curriculum it offers and the flexibility of the program fits with their family schedule.

Grant said learning in the online classroom has been very easy for Leoš because he spent the previous year watching his older sister attend Minnesota Connections Academy, so he knew exactly what to expect.
