TWIN CITIES, MN — Light snow will move through Minnesota Wednesday afternoon into Thursday in the Twin Cities metro, dropping up to 2 inches of snow. The snowstorm will likely impact the Wednesday evening commute.

Wednesday: Snow likely after noon. Increasing clouds, with a high near 28. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Wednesday Night: Snow. Low around 24. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.

Thursday: A 50 percent chance of snow, mainly before noon. Cloudy, with a high near 33. South southeast wind around 5 mph. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 26. Southwest wind around 5 mph.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 40. South wind around 5 mph becoming east southeast in the afternoon.

Friday Night: A 20 percent chance of snow after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 28. East wind 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday: A chance of snow before 1 p.m., then a chance of rain and snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 36. East northeast wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.

Saturday Night: A chance of rain and snow before 9 p.m., then a chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 29. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent.

Sunday: A 20 percent chance of snow. Cloudy, with a high near 34. East northeast wind around 5 mph.
