Orioles Fall Behind Early, Lose Football Finale

A third quarter safety extended the Irondale lead to 30-7, but St. Louis Park furiously rallied in the fourth. Desmon Martin ran in from a yard out to make the score 30-14, then Courington-Meier added a rushing touchdown of his own. A two-point conversion scamper by Martin brought the score to 30-22.
But it ultimately proved to be too little, too late for the Orioles. St. Louis Park finishes the season 3-5 overall and 3-4 in the North Suburban Conference. A win Wednesday might have given the Orioles a home game when the Section 3AAAA playoffs start on Tuesday, but the loss likely means St. Louis Park will start on the road.
