Patch Picks: Great Mother's Day Locales
There are plenty of ways to pamper mom in St. Louis Park.

If you're breathing in oxygen right now—and my guess is that you probably are—then you should be thankful to your mother for bringing you into this world. While moms should be celebrated 365 days a year, there is one day every 12 months where this is especially true—Mother's Day, of course. And with 2011's version coming up on Sunday, we figured we'd unveil our top five local places for celebrating Mother's Day:
- : Hard to not put this shopping destination on the list. If your mom is a shop-aholic, then this is the place to be. Plus, you can finish a day of shopping with a movie—and drinks—at the
- : This St. Louis Park mainstay has an annual Mother's Day brunch featuring a wide array of food, plus an hour of free bowling. Mom also gets a free mimosa.
- : Another shopping suggestion. Guild is a local design collective and retail boutique featuring vintage, designer and found items. Maybe mom can find something retro that is just right?
- : Treat mom to a manicure, pedicure or facial, and help her relax and replenish on her big day.
- A St. Louis Park park: It doesn't really matter which one—just pick a park nearby, walk over and enjoy the nice May air. Perhaps top things off with a quick picnic? Here is a list of local parks.
