The Shjon Podein era at kicked off last week with a new tradition—the Orange versus Black game. The intra-squad scrimmage was held Nov. 22 at the , with Black winning, 7-5 (special thanks to assistant coach John Passolt for sending over the score, as well as the photo that goes with this article). Podein, a 10-year NHL veteran who won the Stanley Cup in 2001, will lead his team into its first regular season game on Dec. 3, when the Orioles head to Waconia. The boys don't play at home until Dec. 17.
