Season's First Snowstorm Hits Northwest Minnesota: Watch
Fall has been cut short in northwestern Minnesota.

Winter has come early. It's not even Halloween yet, and there is snow on the ground in parts of Minnesota. The National Weather Service expects the snow showers to continue across northwest Minnesota as the system gradually moves east. Motorists should take extra care on the roads as flurries and strong winds with gusts up to 60 mph will reduce visibility. Drivers may also encounter slick spots during the evening commute.
Total snow accumulations are expected to be light, restricted mostly to grassy areas.
