Sexual Harassment Complaint Brought Against Superintendent Who Resigned In St. Louis Park

The complaint alleged harassment of an employee in the school district, KARE 11 reported​, adding an investigation was ongoing.

ST. LOUIS PARK, MN — St. Louis Park’s superintendent resigned after a sexual harassment complaint was made against him, according to reports.

Superintendent Astein Osei resigned Tuesday and his last day was Friday, according to the Star Tribune. The complaint alleged harassment of an employee in the school district, KARE 11 reported, adding an investigation was ongoing.

Osei resigned voluntarily and no disciplinary action had been brought against him in relation to the complaint, according to KARE 11.

Osei had been superintendent of the district since 2017 and signed a contract extension last fall for three more years, the Tribune reported.

The school board is aiming to install an interim superintendent next month, according to the Tribune, which reported Director of Student Services Tami Reynolds would step in as acting superintendent until an interim leader was chosen for the district.
