SLP Readers React to Rolling Stone Cover of Accused Boston Bomber
Are you boycotting the latest issue of Rolling Stone?

By now, you’ve seen the cover. The July edition of Rolling Stone sports a self portrait of the accused Boston bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.
By now, you’ve seen the local reaction. Drug stores, like St. Louis Park's CVS and Walgreens, say they will not carry the magazine, in a protest of sorts.
But we want to know: Will you, personally, protest the racey editorial decision? A Nashua Patch blogger said that he intends to boycott the “advertisers of Rolling Stone magazine.”

On Wednesday, we asked St. Louis Park residents what they thought about the magazine cover. The conversation took off on St. Louis Park Patch's Facebook page. Here's what friends had to say:
- Dave Babatz: It certainly is NOT censorship. It is the natural consequence of a media outlet making a bad editorial decision.
- Valerie Olson: Stupid and dangerous. Oh boy! Kill and maim a lot of people and get your face on the cover of Rolling Stone! Way to encourage and glorify the crazies and create a bunch more. I'm beyond disgusted.
- Mary Karius: It's up to each individual to make deicsions on what they will or will not consume/read/buy etc. If you don't like it, don't buy it. Refuse to consume it but you don't have a right to take away my choice.
