SLP Woman Charged for Allegedly Spitting at Cop

A 27-year-old St. Louis Park woman was charged last week with felony fourth-degree assault for allegedly spitting in the face of a police officer.

According to a criminal complaint, Brooklyn Park police were called to the Kensington Apartments, 8312 Zane Ave., on May 11 for a welfare check. There, they spoke with Jessica Lindsay Malisow, who had makeup smeared all over her face and ripped clothing. She also had slurred speech, the complaint states.

As officers were trying to talk to Malisow, she allegedly became angry and started to walk away. One of the officers tried to stop her, but Malisow allegedly began to struggle. She then spit in the officer's mouth and nose, the complaint states. The officer was able to handcuff Malisow and lead her away.
