SLP's Jewish Painters, Poets Show Their Work at Sabes JCC
The Sabes JCC held a reception for 17 local Jewish artists on Thursday evening.
A number of Jewish artists from St. Louis Park came to the Sabes JCC's Tychman Shapiro Gallery Thursday evening as the guests of honor in a reception for participants in the Jewish Artists Laboratory.
The program, funded by a grant from the Covenant Foundation, has allowed 17 local Jewish artists to meet twice monthly for the last eight months to talk about the intersection of Judaism and art.
A culminating event, featuring literary presentations, will be held on Sept. 22.
