Snow Storm Could Impact Travel In St. Louis Park: NWS

ST. LOUIS PARK, MN — St. Louis Park residents may have to break out their shovels Friday, with snow "likely" to fall Thursday night, according to the National Weather Service.

Hennepin County is one of 26 Minnesota counties for which the NWS has issued a "hazardous weather outlook" for Thursday.

NWS forecasts indicate less than an inch of snow could fall in the area Thursday night. Snow could return Saturday night, the NWS said.

Tonight: Snow, possibly mixed with rain, becoming all snow after 2am. Low around 33. West southwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Friday: A chance of snow, mixing with rain after 10am, then gradually ending. Cloudy, with a high near 37. North northwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 29. North northwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Saturday: A 20 percent chance of snow after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 35. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west southwest in the afternoon.
