The Red Knights looked like one of the better teams in the state in a 70-35 win over Minneapolis South.

BSM Boys Basketball Cruises

The Red Knights, ranked No. 1 in Class 3A, had no trouble with Minneapolis South at home, breezing to a 70-35 win.

Sanjay Lumpkin led BSM (2-1) with 19 points, while Isaiah Zierden added 18.

SLP Boys Basketball Drops Another Close One

The Orioles have now lost two games this year by a combined three points after falling to Holy Angels, 73-71.

Park (2-2) rallied in the second half, but couldn't overcome a five-point halftime deficit. The Orioles had four players in double figures, led by Kashif Hayes with 19.

Park will travel to Apple Valley on Friday in its next game.

BSM Girls Basketball Wins Again

Behind 22 points from Grace Coughlin, BSM took care of conference foe Chisago Lakes on the road, 60-45.

The Red Knights (4-1) travel to Totino-Grace on Friday in their next game.

SLP Girls Basketball Tops Fridley

The Orioles won their second straight game, 66-59 over visiting Fridley.

Park (2-2) had a balanced scoring attack, as six players had at least seven points. Megan Sawatzky led the way with 17.

Park looks to make it three in a row on Friday at Chisago Lakes.

BSM Boys Hockey Rolls

The Red Knights (No. 2, Class 2A) had no trouble with Holy Angels, cruising to a 15-2 win at home.

Eight BSM players scored, led by senior Jake O'Borsky, who had four goals. Junior T.J. Moore added three of his own. BSM (4-1) out shot the Stars, 40-22.

BSM's next game is Thursday at Totino-Grace.

SLP Girls Hockey Goes Down

The young Orioles went down against Minnehaha Academy on the road, 5-1.

Park (1-8) had its chances, registering 24 shots on goal. However, only sophomore Anna Basill could find the back of the net.

Up next for the Orioles is a Thursday road game against St. Francis/North Branch.
