BSM Boys Hockey Halts Hill-Murray

Playing a tough game on the road against Hill-Murray (No. 6, Class 2A), the Red Knights (No. 3, Class 2A) were able to recover from a 1-0 deficit after the first period, scoring three times in the second en route to a 3-2 win.

Scoring for BSM were Grant Besse, Jake Horton and Christian Horn. Besse also added two assists and led the team with three points. Anders Jecha stopped 15 of 17 shots on net.

Up next for BSM (2-0) is a game next Thursday on the road against Burnsville.

BSM Girls Basketball Beats Orono

The Red Knights won a close home game over Orono, 49-43. Individual statistics were not available.

Up next for BSM (1-0) is a home game against St. Paul Highland Park on Tuesday.

St. Louis Park Girls Hockey Falls on the Road

The Orioles (1-5) couldn't get anything past Mahtomedi and goalie Angela Boreen on 19 shots, falling to the Zephyrs, 4-0. Hannah Brodersen made 25 saves in the loss for the Orioles.

Up next for St. Louis Park is a Tuesday road game against the St. Paul Blades.

BSM Wrestling

The Red Knights lost to St. Francis, 56-16, as part of a quad match-up that also featured Irondale and Columbia Heights. BSM's scores against the other two schools were not immediately available.
