The Orioles' season-opening winning streak was snapped at six, as Park fell to Duluth Denfeld 6-0 in the first game of the Duluth Heritage Holiday Hockey Tournament.

The Orioles stuck with Denfeld, the state's No. 12 team in Class A, through a scoreless first period. But the hosts scored two in the second, then four more in the third to put the game away.

BSM Boys Basketball Wins Tourney Opener

The Red Knights topped Waconia—the team that ended BSM's season last year in the —in the opening round of a holiday tournament, 86-63.

BSM (No. 1 in Class 3A) got out to a 15-point halftime lead and never looked back. Isaiah Zierden led the way with 28 points, while Sanjay Lumpkin added 26.

The Red Knights will play tournament host Eden Prairie on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the championship game.

SLP Girls Basketball Falls

Park lost to Simley, 72-40, sending the Orioles to a 3-5 mark on the season.
