St. Louis Park Aquatic Park Closes Friday, Weekend Status Undetermined
A mechanical issue was responsible for the closure. Residents are asked to contact the city before planning weekend visits.

ST. LOUIS PARK, MN —The City of St. Louis Park announced that the Aquatic Park was forced to close at 11 a.m. on Friday due to a mechanical issue.
Officials are asking residents to check the venue's status before planning to visit on Saturday and Sunday. This can be done by calling 952-924-2567.
The Aquatic Park, located at 3700 Monterey Drive, opened for the season on Wednesday, and it is scheduled to remain open until August 23.

However, the park's concession stand will remain closed until June 10, the city said.
"Patrons are able to bring their own food and beverage into the appropriate areas of the Aquatic Park during this time," the city said.

Additionally, the Wibit obstacle course will not be put into the water until June 11.
When it's fully operational, the Aquatic Park features four-story water slides, a sand-and-water play area, tot whale slide, spray arches, water geysers, drop slides, lap swim lanes, diving boards and sun decks.
"The Aquatic Park is the best place to stay cool during the summer," the city said.
