ST. LOUIS PARK, MN — Coronavirus cases are rising in Minnesota, increasing the health risks for unvaccinated people in the St. Louis Park area. More than 35 percent of Hennepin County remains unvaccinated, including small children who are not yet eligible for the vaccine. Hennepin County is <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2021/us/hennepin-minnesota-covid-cases.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">now at "high risk" for unvaccinated people</a>, according to the New York Times. It was at a medium risk only last week. The number of new COVID cases reported in the past two weeks in Hennepin County has increased by 164 percent, the newspaper reported. Hospitalizations and deaths in the county, however, remain stable.
