St. Louis Park Election 2022: What Voters Should Know

This fall, St. Louis Park residents will help decide the makeup of the state and federal government.

ST. LOUIS PARK, MN — St. Louis Park residents will have the opportunity to vote in two elections this year; a state primary and a general election.

The state primary is set for Aug. 9, and the state general election will be held on Nov. 8.

No city offices are on the ballot this year in St. Louis Park, but residents will choose candidates for a number of state and federal elections:

  • Governor and lieutenant governor
    • Incumbent: Democrat Gov. Tim Walz and Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan
  • Secretary of State
    • Incumbent: Democrat Steve Simon
  • Attorney General
    • Incumbent: Democrat Keith Ellison
  • State Auditor
    • Democrat Julie Blaha
  • U.S. Representative District 5

  • State Senator

  • State House representative

  • Hennepin County Commissioner District 3
    • Incumbent: Democrat Marion Greene
  • Hennepin County Attorney
    • Attorney Mike Freeman is not running for another term

The new district maps that were created following the 2020 Census are now in effect, which means your representatives and polling location may have changed.

Minnesotans can register to vote online at the Secretary of State website. Check to see if your current voter registration information is up to date using this tool.
