Residential property owners in St. Louis Park can get financial help and guidance if their projects have a positive impact on the rainwater.
ST. LOUIS PARK, MN — Spring is here, and it's time to start planning landscaping projects.
Homeowners in St. Louis Park can take advantage of the city’s rainwater rewards program, which offers funding and guidance to those who install projects that do one of the following four services:
- Capture pollutants in rainwater runoff
- Increase the watershed’s ability to store water
- Restore native wildlife communities
- Protect groundwater quality
- Examples of this include rain gardens, tree plantings, rain barrels, permeable pavement, and green roofs
The program provides cost-sharing benefits, guidance with management practices and planning, and help with choosing designers and contractors.
