(UPDATED) SLP Protesters Arrested at OccupyMN

A total of seven people were arrested for blocking traffic.

Among seven people who were arrested in downtown Minneapolis Thursday as part of the OccupyMN rally were two St. Louis Park residents.

The group was blocking the intersection of 6th Street and 2nd Avenue south when they were arrested, according to a police report. The Star Tribune reports that the group had set up tents in the intersection.

The Star Tribune also notes that these are the first multiple arrests made during the two-week anti-Wall Street demonstration.

Minneapolis police reported that they gave the group three orders to move starting at around 1:40 p.m. The seven people, including Robert Reid, 30, and Devin Wynn-Shemanek, 19, from St. Louis Park, were charged with interfering with traffic, which is a misdemeanor.

They all posted $50 bail and were released from custody.
