St. Louis Park Schools Offers Free Child Care For Tier 1 Workers
Free child care is provided only during school day hours. Other times require a fee.
ST. LOUIS PARK, MN — Per the direction of Gov. Tim Walz, St. Louis Park Public Schools will offer free childcare for parents and guardians who are tier one critical workers. Tier one critical workers are employees who work in the following fields:
- Healthcare and public health
- Law enforcement, public safety and first responders
- Food and agriculture
- Judicial Branch
- National Guard
- Educators in pre-K through grade 12 settings
- School staff caring for children of critical workers
- Child care and school-age care providers
Free child care is provided only during school day hours. Other times require a fee:
- Morning Care: 6:30 – 7:45 a.m. (fee applies)
- School day hours: 7:45 -2:15 p.m. (free for tier one workers)
- Afternoon Care: 2:15 – 6 p.m. (fee applies)
