(UPDATED) Power Restored in SLP

Xcel Energy has been dealing with outages throughout the day.

Update (10 p.m) - Power seems to have been restored across St. Louis Park. You can see a metro area outage map here.

Update (5 p.m.) - An additional 246 customers reportedly lost power along Minnetonka Boulevard at around 3:30 p.m. Power is expected to be restored to this area by 8 p.m.

Update (2:10 p.m.) - Power has largely been restored to St. Louis Park, with only a few outages now scattered across town. The current restoration estimate for remaining outages is 11 p.m. Wednesday, but the timeframe is being adjusted as crews work.

8:50 a.m. - More than 200 St. Louis Park residents awoke to power outages Tuesday morning.

Xcel Energy reported that 234 St. Louis Park customers had outages as of 5:20 a.m. The outages were largely clustered around Bass Lake Park, just east of Highway 100.

Across the metro, about 71,000 people were experiencing outages. Xcel said it could be Thursday night before power is restored for some people—although crews are out and estimates are being revised frequently.
