Thunderstorms Likely Saturday As St. Louis Park Ends Rainy Week
Over 1.7 inches of rain fell in the city during Thursday's storm. The Twin Cities are under an enhanced risk of severe weather on Saturday.
ST. LOUIS PARK, MN — St. Louis Park saw 1.72 inches of rain fall on Thursday, only two days after the Twin Cities' biggest rainstorm of the year – and more rain is in the forecast for Saturday evening.
The National Weather Service has put the Twin Cities under an "enhanced" risk of severe weather on Saturday, and The Weather Channel is expecting storms to begin as early as 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
Heavier thunderstorms will begin at around 7 p.m., according to TWS' forecast. There is a potential for severe thunderstorms and heavy rainfall, and the chance of rain is 90 percent.

The city was spared from the worst of Thursday's storm, though, as the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail and Snow Network reported that almost 3 inches of rain fell on nearby Edina and Plymouth.
