"Patrons are able to bring their own food and beverage into the appropriate areas of the Aquatic Park during this time," the city said.

Additionally, the Wibit obstacle course will not be put into the water until Saturday.

When it's fully operational, the Aquatic Park features four-story water slides, a sand-and-water play area, tot whale slide, spray arches, water geysers, drop slides, lap swim lanes, diving boards and sun decks.

"The Aquatic Park is the best place to stay cool during the summer," the city said.
