3 St. Michael Schools On MN’s Coronavirus Outbreak List

St. Michael-Albertville Senior High School was joined on the state's outbreak list Thursday by two other District 885 schools.

ST. MICHAEL, MN β€” The number of Wright County schools with recent coronavirus outbreaks doubled in the past week, according to Minnesota health officials.

Fourteen schools in the county were included this week on the Minnesota Department of Health's list, which updates every Thursday. Seven Wright County schools were on the state's list last week, including one in St. Michael.

St. Michael-Albertville Senior High School was joined on the state’s outbreak list Thursday by Fieldstone Elementary School and St. Michael-Albertville Middle School East.

A school is deemed to have an outbreak when it reports five or more confirmed cases of the virus in students or staff who were in the building while infectious during the most recent two-week reporting period.

Schools on the list may not have ongoing transmission, and schools are removed from the list if they have not reported a new case for 28 days, according to MDH officials.
