5 St. Michael Schools On Latest COVID-19 Outbreak List

ST. MICHAEL, MN — The most recent list of facilities with COVID-19 outbreaks published Thursday included five St. Michael schools. No St. Michael schools were named on last week’s list.

Three elementary schools — Big Woods, Fieldstone and St. Michael — were named on the list Thursday, alongside St. Michael-Albertville Middle School East and STMA High School.

Thursday’s list also included STMA Middle School West, which is part of St. Michael-Albertville Schools.

The COVID-19 data dashboard for STMA schools shows there have been 1,130 total coronavirus cases among students since Sept. 7, including 49 new cases during the first week of February.

The district has reported 224 cases among staff members since Sept. 7, the dashboard shows.

Thursday’s COVID-19 outbreak list included 21 Wright County schools, 11 more than last week. The total number of Minnesota schools on the outbreak list more than doubled over the past week, from 249 to 598.
