5 STMA Schools Named On Latest COVID-19 Outbreak List

ST. MICHAEL, MN — Five St. Michael-Albertville schools were included Thursday on the Minnesota Department of Health’s list of facilities with coronavirus outbreaks.

That total includes three schools from St. Michael — STMA High School, STMA Middle School East and Fieldstone Elementary — and two from Albertville: Albertville Primary and STMA Middle School West.

All seven schools in the district were included on the first two COVID-19 outbreak lists of 2022, but Big Woods and St. Michael elementary schools were removed Jan. 20.

STMA Using CDC New Rules On COVID-19 Isolation, Quarantine

The COVID-19 data dashboard for the St. Michael-Albertville School District shows there have been 976 total coronavirus cases among students since Sept. 7, as of Tuesday. That includes 126 new cases recorded from Jan. 19-25.

The district has also added 34 new coronavirus cases among staff members since Jan. 18, taking that total to 201 cases since Sept. 7.

Ten Wright County schools were included on the Minnesota Department of Health's most recent list of facilities with coronavirus outbreaks, the same number as last week.

Thursday's list included 468 schools throughout Minnesota, 24 more than last week.
