6 STMA Schools On Weekly COVID-19 Outbreak List

ST. MICHAEL, MN — Six schools in the St. Michael-Albertville district were named Thursday on the Minnesota Department of Health’s latest list of facilities with COVID-19 outbreaks.

Three elementary schools — Big Woods, Fieldstone and St. Michael — were included alongside both STMA middle schools and STMA High School. All six schools were also included on last week’s list.

Albertville Primary and the district’s Community Education Building are the only STMA school buildings not named on this week’s outbreak list.

The number of STMA schools on the list dropped to zero on Feb. 3.

Twenty Wright County schools were again included on the list, with no schools added or removed in the past week, according to the Minnesota Department of Health.

The COVID-19 data dashboard for STMA schools shows there have been 1,174 total cases among students since Sept. 7, with only 15 new cases from Feb. 16-22.

The district reported just one new case among staff during that week, taking the total number of staff cases to 230 since Sept. 7, the dashboard shows.
