Albertville Friendly City Days Announces Musical Acts

Local and regional names will take center stage for the festival's 25th anniversary.

The Albertville Friendly City Days committee announces this year's lineup for bands and concerts at the 25th anniversary festival. 

Thursday, area youth will perform in front of their peers showing their talent during the Garage Band Exposition. 

Local Favorite “Road Kill” will kick off the music on Friday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and  “The Shane Martin Band” along with “Roy Dawson & the Bootleggers” will finish out the night from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.

On Saturday “George Jundt,” a local concertina player, will entertain starting at 5:00 pm. during the Spaghetti Dinner. “Switched at Birth,” a regional Bluegrass/Blues favorite, will perform from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.  “Iron Horse,” a regional country act, will take the stage at 9:00 pm and play until 1 a.m. 

Along with the live music, there will be the carnival, garage sales, food, fireworks, a parade, sports tournaments, and lots of fun activities for the kids.

Area merchants will be selling Friendly City Days buttons and Discount Ride Tickets starting Memorial Day weekend.  Mark your calendars and come join in on the fun!
